Pawly @ Schulich School of Business - YEDI Venture Fair

On January 19, 2015, Pawly was a part of YEDI's venture fair, which took place at Schulich Executive Education Centre at York University.

YEDI is a charitable organization that provides business education and mentorship to entrepreneurs from any sector or industry, to help build and accelerate successful organizations.

Our CEO, Mayer Elharar, took part in this amazing development program which enabled him to connect with other great entrepreneurs and discuss important strategic goals for the company.

After the pitches, entrepreneurs got to showcase and demo their ventures at their booth. There were many interesting ventures that pitched and showcased their products.

As an example, TapMango is a startup offering loyalty program platforms for SMEs already working with very happy customers. Another exciting startup, Complete Concussion Management, is changing the way concussions should be managed for amateur athletes and not just professional athletes. They have over 100 clinics serving across Canada.

As usual, Pawly could be seen rolling around the room minding its own business. We got to control Pawly with our iPad and encouraged others to try it out themselves.

The crowd was a mixture of entrepreneurs, politicians, investors, business professionals, and the media who showed support and took interest in what we were doing. It was a great experience to be a part of a community that is being built to help foster and grow startups for the benefit of the economy. MP Mark Adler gave an inspirational speech about the time, when he just started out, when he was faced with lots of adversity. He never gave up and didn't stop believing in himself and his inspirations to eventually be where he is today. A great lesson for us all.
